Dr. Tyler King

About Dr. King

Dr. Tyler King is a native-born North Carolinian, growing up in Hampstead and spending as much time as possible on Topsail Island. His love for learning led him to Wake Forest University, where he studied biology and mathematics and learned to accept that being a Demon Deacon sports fan meant seeing a lot of losing. Dr. King then attended dental school at UNC, where his love for patient care really blossomed. After dental school, Dr. King moved to Michigan with his now-wife, where he practiced dentistry at a small, rural family practice for a few years before moving back to the Triangle and joining Shine Family Dentistry.

Dr. King loves meeting and talking with patients and treats everyone like family. He prides himself on being an educator and a great listener and will field any questions patients have with a smile.

When he isn’t in the office, Dr. King enjoys spending time with his wife, who is a veterinarian, cooking, staying active, and being outdoors. He would like to see as much of the world as possible and to visit all 63 national parks. His cellphone is full of photos of his three cats, Peanut, Butter, and Jelly, and he will gladly show you.
